Vinen er en del af "Die Distriksreeks" (distriktsserien) og er kendt for sin ekstreme mineralitet og præcision. Druer: Vinen er fremstillet af 100 % Chenin Blanc. Druerne kommer fra en enkelt mark i Swartland, specifikt på Paardeberg-bjerget, hvor vinstokkene vokser i et meget tyndt lag jord direkte oven på en klippehylde af granit (heraf navnet "Rotsbank", som betyder klippebænk). Alkoholprocent: Denne årgang har en alkoholstyrke på 13,5 %. Karakteristika: Udseende: En klar, gylden farve med et let grønligt skær. Duft: Næsen er præget af en intens mineralitet med noter af knust granit, flintesten og havbrise. Bag mineraliteten findes delikate nuancer af citrusfrugter, hvide ferskener, tørrede urter og en snert af grøn te. Smag: På ganen er vinen ekstremt fokuseret, lineær og stram. Den har en "elektrisk" syre og en dyb koncentration af frugt, der aldrig bliver tung. Finishen er bemærkelsesværdig lang, salt og mundvandsdrivende. Produktion: Vinen er skabt med minimal indgriben.
