Château Margaux, 1. Cru Classé 2008

Château Margaux er en af Bordeauxs mest prestigefyldte vine, kendt for sin høje kvalitet og 1. Cru klassifikation. Thomas Jefferson beskrev den i 1787 som en af de bedste vine, han nogensinde havde smagt. Efter en turbulent historie blev slottet i 1977 købt af André Mentzelopoulos, som genoprettede vinens kvalitet. Markerne er beplantet med 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot og 5% Petit Verdot og Cabernet Franc, med vinstokke på gennemsnitligt 35 år. Vinen har en kompleks smag af letkrydret solbær, vanille og violer, og kan lagres i mindst 30 år i de bedste årgange.
