Château La Mission Haut-Brion forveksles ofte med andre "Haut Brion"-navne i Pessac-Léognan og opfattes fejlagtigt som Château Haut-Brions anden vin. Selvom de har samme ejere, producerer La Mission mindre vin på sine 20 hektar. Vinene er blandt de bedste i Bordeaux og opnår ofte 100 point hos Robert Parker i topårgange. Dillon-familien, som har ejet Château Haut Brion siden 1935, købte La Mission i 1983 og har løftet dens status betydeligt.
